It was a light skate here today at Trailside, where a few members of the Red Army took part in an optional practice. Forwards Pat King, Steve Hand, and Mark Hendricks along with defenders Jamie Simek and Ben Breiterman laced up the skates. Andy Schram filled in as goalie for the practice.
I haven't received an update on Mike D'Ignazio, but the forward is believed to good to go for Sunday's game one.
"I texted him last night and he thought he had a concussion," Hendricks said. "I knew it was bad when he accidentally referred to himself as a player on Prestige Worldwide. Kids gotta get his head on straight."
As for the mindset going into the championship series, perhaps Breiterman said it best. "I look forward to taking several shots of poor tasting liquor out of a ram's horn while securely holding onto a broom."
Added King, "Laaaaaaaaabia".
UPDATE: The DSPAMRHL released the schedule for the championship series. The three game's times/dates are listed below:
Game 1: Sunday, May 15 @ 8:00 pm
Game 2: Thursday, May 19 @ 9:00 pm
Game 3: Sunday, May 22 @ 9:00 pm (if necessary)
