Steve Hand: "This series is far from over". It's going three."

Practice was canceled today to give the players a chance to rest and heal whatever bumps and bruises might still be lingering. The team did meet at the Red Army Yoo-hoo Plex (RAYP) to go over video with coaches as well as talk strategy. After the hour long video session this morning, some players spoke to the media. I have posted the transcripts below:

Mark Hendricks Q & A Transcript:
Question: What is it going to take for you guys to win tomorrow night?
Mark Hendricks: We're going to have to score more goals than them.
Q: Are there going to be any significant changes in strategy for tomorrow?
MH: We'll make that decision when we know who can make the game tomorrow.
Q: If you lose, does that burst the bubble on the "ready to move up a division" idea?
MH: Yes, most definitely.
Q: You had five points in game one, how are you going to improve in game two?
MH: I'll have to get six points. And I'll play better defense. Shorter shifts should help that.
Q: Where are you going for lunch today?
MH: It will be a game time decision, but Subway is the front runner at this moment.

Steve Hand Q & A Transcript:
Question: As the captain of this team, will you say anything special before tomorrow's elimination game?
Steve Hand: I don't think they need me to really give a pump up speech, I'll talk and get guys going, but I think everyone is ready.
Q: How does this compare to other championship series that you've played in?
SH: I think this is the first one where we are favored to win. They always say the hardest thing to do in sports is win when you're supposed to. Second hardest is probably hitting a home run over the Green Monster or getting a hole-in-one, not sure though.
Q: If you guys lose, will this be a collapse for the Red Army, considering you guys won the President's Trophy?
SH: We won't lose. Everyone thinks we're choking. Guess what, it's a best of three game series, they didn't win the series on Sunday. They can win tomorrow, but they won't. This series is far from over. It's going three.

Mike D'Ignazio Q & A Transcript
Question: Are you the Marion Hossa of the DSPAMRHL?
Mike D'Ignazio: Go [expletive] yourself.
